Opelika, AL, July 17, 2016 – CarePoint Resources, a regional provider of American Heart Association (AHA) CPR and safety training, will travel to Xiamen, China the last week of July to provide on-site healthcare provider CPR certification for the staff of a new facility.
GuoYu Health Management, a health maintenance company in Xiamen, China plans to open an 800 bed hospital to serve the local population. The GuoYu administration reached out to CarePoint once they made the decision to have their physicians certified in AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
“We are honored and excited, but when we initially received the request for a training proposal, we were somewhat skeptical as to whether this was a legitimate request,” explains Randy Boone, founder and CEO of CarePoint Resource. It didn’t take long for them to realize that GuoYu was genuine in their desire to bring the CarePoint instructors to China to conduct the training. Boone explains that the client has been instrumental in facilitating their international business travel, “The administration at GuoYu has been helpful every step of the way from acquiring passports and visas to booking flights and accommodations for our stay.”
A group of physicians, trained in both traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine, will participate in the training. To overcome the language barrier, a translator will be joining the instructors in addition to CarePoint providing all AHA materials in the Chinese language translation.
In preparation for their service, the Opelika-based business became an International Training Site with the American Heart Association Training Center in Hong Kong.
The trip will take a total of 8 days to complete. The two CarePoint instructors and translator will depart Sunday, July 24th and return Sunday, the 31st.
Randy says they are excited to serve in such a capacity, “The American Heart Association is a world-wide leader in resuscitation science and training, and CarePoint is very excited to be delivering this life-saving training on an international scale.” He continues, “This opportunity is a testament to the many lives saved by trained providers both here and abroad.”
CarePoint Resources plans to post social media updates about their trip using #CarePointChina via their website www.carepointresources.com/blog, Facebook page and Twitter account: @mycarept.
