The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.
The Blood Borne Pathogens course has two components being a cognitive portion and then a site-specific component. The cognitive information details hazards, diseases, symptoms, and safety procedures. The site-specific component involves learning about your employer’s specific exposure control plan.
